Alexis Blood is an attorney with the firm. She represents a variety of healthcare and medical-defense clients, including hospital systems, skilled-nursing facilities and individual providers in a broad range of litigation matters, specializing in insurance and professional malpractice. 

Alexis also represents clients in legal malpractice cases. She counsels lawyers, law firms, and their malpractice insurers in efforts to work towards favorable outcomes. Her expertise in litigation brings a comprehensive understanding and approach in helping lawyers and law firms avoid legal malpractice liability.

Results

In 2024, Alexis and the firm won a complete defense verdict for their client following a jury tried medical malpractice case, where the plaintiff was seeking over one million dollars in damages.  In 2025, Alexis and the firm have won two complete defense verdicts for their clients after jury tried medical malpractice cases, where the plaintiffs were again seeking over one million dollars in damages. 

Experience

Prior to joining Minana & Associates, Alexis worked for several years at the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office. During her time at the Prosecuting Attorney's Office, Alexis gained significant courtrom and trial experience. She litigated serious violent felonies, where she advocated on behalf of vulnerable victims in all stages of the criminal court process. Her trial experience included prosecuting a wide variety of felony charges, including murder cases.

Pro Bono

Alexis continues to utilize her litigation skills in helping the community. She volunteers as a pro-bono attorney for St. Louis Survivors Legal Support, representing victims of domestic abuse in courtroom proceedings.
